A deal with Bill Clinton over his post-White House work helped clear the way for Hillary Rodham Clinton to join President-elect Barack Obama's national security team as secretary of state.
these two couldn't stand each other in the primary, now we're supposed to believe they can work together like it was nothing? Hillary will be running the show within a year....
By the way libs, how's that 'change" thing working out for you? From where I sit it's "the same old, same old"
DO AS WE SAY, NOT AS WE DO!
Last time I checked, Obama wasn't president yet. Another 50 days yet until we can get rid of Bush. Then we'll see how things go. Obama's administration can't be any worse than the last 8 years of ineptitude, narcissism, vanity, greed, cronyism, etc....
what are you ..8 years old??????.... thats what I thought! ..Geeze dealing with a 8 year old... how embarrassing... Listen kid... things have been going to hootch in a hand basket for a long long time..... I am not going to tell you to grow up... now I understand that you are very young...
so Im going to play nice with you for a while.... Now when you grow up, you will know a little bit more about HISTORY.. then I will take the gloves off and we can really go at it....Peace kid...
What are you a stalker winger? Why do you have to harass Michelle? Your name calling and attacks show how juvenile you are.
fireyone - know what youare talking about or shut the ell up..
My name is first she follows me around....
Do yourself a favor a use your brain..
thats if you have one...
Look at the article - who wrote first and who followed
Is that to much for you to comprehend???????
Ive already told her to quit following me around pages OK!
Now go get a life !!!!!!!
That's the only right decision he has made. Bill is a MAN. thinks he is God's gift to women. Monica liked the money and attention. So what if she got a little bruise on her knees! I think Hillary is the only person qualified for this job as Secretary of State. She knows all the other countries politics and they know her. And as for 9/11 get real! That started with Reagan get your history books out and figure it out. He knew about Ben and Saddam, Reagan decided to ignore it. Look it up! Get your facts straight. Same thing with this first Black President- ain't happening. Abraham Lincoln was the first! Yeah!! Michelle will be the first black first lady that is true. The problem is that history is not being taught in our schools anymore and no one knows what history is except for what happened yesterday! Go back to the basics. Yeah Hillary is his only choice.
I have been accused of being a skeptic, all my life.
Evidently, I wasn't skeptical, enough.
I had this small glimmer of hope, that things would be different, when Obama, was elected.
Now, we'll have a Secretary of Stste, with zero, experience.
God, I'm glad, Im old.
well conservatives, I guess the change we'll have is a President that actually has a brain.
Let's hope he protects us as well as Bush has done.
We really don't know how smart he is now do we? Has he released his college scripts yet? I still haven't seen him accomplish anything. We know he's not a leader or a take charge guy. I hope someone calls him at 3 AM on the 20th to let him know he's the liberal president.
Hold on everyone, it's going to a rough ride!
DO AS WE SAY, NOT AS WE DO
We all better hope he DOES protect us as well as President Bush has!
Cons. Demo,
As an elder person, when were you not protected living in the United States??. Some of us have the ability to remember the "stuff" from your computer
If he does have a brain, he is well-keeping that secret with his early decisions.
"As an elder person, when were you not protected living in the United States??. Some of us have the ability to remember the "stuff" from your computer"
I've always been protected while living in the United States. I've never stated otherwise.
yeah....in his @ss...
Winger: Get a life and stop posting unless you actually have something INTELLEGENT to say. Anything. Even a tiny little bit. I'd like to see something other than insults and your unsubstantiated opinion.
b ichelle - it appears all your good for is useless bantering... You need a good kick in your Hillary Rotten-bottom ARSE....
and Jerry, Hillary personally knows more world leaders than most and her and her husband are respected throughout the world.
You know, respected instead of hated?
Where did she meet them, don't, on the airfield while she was dodging bullets.
Meeting people doesnt' accomplish anything, if that's all it takes, we should have put Bob Hope up.
Jerry, she met them while living at the White House from 1992 to 2000, from her travels or while serving as Senator of New York.
George W. Bush had never been out of the country before he became President except for a day trip to Mexico.
Having met these people, how does that qualify her, for the position, of Secretary of State?
Please see earlier remark, regarding Bob Hope
Spam man at it again....
stick a fork in it
what are you trying to do
convince us rottenbottom is any dam good
It's not working- just like rottenbottom...
I'm old enough, I don't have to worry about it, I used to regret it, but, am now glad, I had no chidren or grandchildren.
But, if you dummies, don't stop the republican/ democrat crap and rein these professional politicians in, your children and grandchildren, will pay through the nose.
I agree. Hopefully Obama will govern from a centrist position and take the advice of people from both parties.
Hopeless JERRY, they only see in R and D...
Wow, are all those who have computers really that "stupid"? Some say Obama has no experience to be President. Probably true if he was going to run a business. He would not qualify for lack of experience or knowledge. So why was he elected by a majority of Americans to be President of the United States?. He talks really well?? People think he had a different approach to running the U. S. and voted for the possible change. Now "they" find out he is no different and does not have any "new" ideas. But it is ok because he will do no worse or better than past Presidents.
And people need to learn, if they can, that no past or future President is better or worse because circumstances around the world constantly change. When do Americans actually wake up to reality??
David you are right. Each president is handed a unique set of circumstances and when people criticize the president's actions, they have no idea what would have happened if the reaction was different. Each President also has to deal with the actions of many past president, foreign countries and legislators.
Possibly the "change" part is actually having competent people to fill the open positions as opposed to GWBs filling them with rather incompetent party cronies, just a thought which is something most neocons seem to lack.......
Reading these comments there remains little doubt that the GOP and most neocons are still ignorance and biased driven.... Exactly how did GWB keep us safe?? By attacking Iraq which had no WMDs or furnishing anyone involved in 9/11 and turning Iraq into a royal cluster****!!!!! Thanks again GWB you Viet Nam draft dodger for supplying others to do your work the lacked the moral fiber to do when you were of age....
Your history is a lil skewed, Dirk.
Clinton was the draft dodger, not GWB.
And the US hasnt been attacked in 7 plus years.....
Try to get current, will ya?
Dirkpt, while I agree that Saddam did not have a nuclear weapon attached to a ballistic missile pointed at us, the following is true:
Clinton, Gore and Albright all acknowledged that Saddam had to be removed.
He had and used SCUD missiles, he had and used biological WMD's (put those two together)
He was non cooperative with weapons inspectors, violated the 91 peace treaty, and had a nuclear plant that was destroyed in the early 80's. He could have built another one. Few people didn't think he had nuclear capabilities.
He was a state sponsor of terrorism - the Palestinians
He committed genocide on his own people.
He invaded Kuwait.
He may have been a friend of ours in the 80's, but things change in the Middle East. There is no strong evidence that he was linked to 9/11.
I believe removing Saddam and his Baathist regime made the world safer, and could lead to an ideological change for the better in the Middle East. The jury is still out on that one.
There has been great progress in Iraq to create a friendly state, that has been acknowledged by both sides of the aisle. And the Iraqi's are close to kicking us out and protecting themselves.
So Lars, will you be going there on your next vacation?
Don'tlike hypocriys
I'd like to go. Not crazy about going to Syria, maybe Iran, if the people overthrow the clerics and Ahmadinijad. Can you recommend a hotel?
Lar,
It would be easier to sell that crap if Bush had ever said that the reason to Invade Iraq is to remove a brutal dictator and had not trumped up Al Quedda connections and cherry picked WMD info while distorting or hiding any negative intelligence. If he had used the letsremove Saddam he's really really mean justification Congress and the American people would have never given him free reign. He dragged out every politico and half baked expert with a voice, especially the Vice Pres to trumpet the imminent danger of a Nuclear or in Bush speak a nuculear Iraqi threat.
JKHayes
I agree. Bush framed the invasion incorrectly and paid the political price. I think he has failed in many ways as a politician. I do appreciate his attempt to do what he perceived to be right. And I appreciate the safety he has helped engineer in this country, again at a political price. (i.e. PATRIOT act, deficits) My hope is that the current administration does what is right and sets politics aside. It's a tough job.
Lar,
What political price did Bush pay? The country payed a price the dead soldiers and Iraqis paid a price the GOP paid a price what price has Bush or Cheyney paid. The president has assumed unheard of powers and preying on the fears of Americans like yourself he was re-elected and has embarrassed us in every possible way short of dropping his trousers. The logic that we have not been attacked on US soil means he is doing the right thing is flawed at best. That would mean that every president from Pancho Villas encursions until 2001 did a great job because the Mexican terrorists never attacked again. We have had acts of terrorism against us since before we were a Republic and the magnitude of the administrations reaction is absurd. There is no power granted in the constitution either explicit or emplied which allows a president to declare war on a non- specific thing like Terror it is stupid , ill defined and unwinnable. As to doing what you think is right either that or I was protecting my country has been the rationalization used by almost every torturer and dictator throughout history.
JKHayes
Viet Nam draft dodger
Sept 14 '04 WSJ published 2 (two) requests for transfer to combat duty, by one Lt Bush GW. both documents were published in the paper; the Texas ANG testified as to their authenticity (no Microsoft fonts there...). it was revealed that one request was refused due to insufficient flight hours (1000 was the minimum required; he had 815); the other was declined as the aircraft he flew (F-102) was no longer combat-theater elgible.
currently on vacation there,,, lol and having a grand time,... cant wait for the leftist to visit...
WW,
He was placed in the guard unit because it flew obsolete planes and would be the last unit called. When you are in a guard unit you do not apply for active duty outside your unit. If you want active duty you simply enlist like thousands of guardsmen throughout the years. The armed services in the sixties were most unlikely to refuse a college educated fighter trained pilot who wanted to enlist. Bush transferred out when drug testing came in.
JKHayes
jim,
take it up with the WSJ and the Texas ANG. the article is in their archives, on the website. unfortunately i only know what they published.
Drqaft Dodger - BILL CLINTON- we can look this two different ways...
What a travesty for the United States! And, President Obama's first major boo-boo. Hillery was deeply involved with Whitewater and got out by the skin of her teeth by being forst lady. Shady politics. She ran for Senator and yet wasn't a resident of that state permanently. That's whats called a carpetbagger. As first lady, she pledged to straighten out and fortify federal funded medical coverage for all Americans. She failed miserable and did nothing! She blwed the federal coffers of election money to run for president, a position she wasn't qualified for and never will be. ANd now, Obama completely screws up and appointes her Secretary of State. Heaven help us!!!!!
In case you missed it after wasting tens of millions of dollars trying to prove a $30,000.00 problem which never existed no evidence was found of malfeceance even after jailing Susan Mc'Dougal for refusing to make stuff up.
JKHayes
So another words...let her get away with it because it cost to much to prosecute her...
Winger,
She got away with nothing they were accused by David Hale after never having mentioned the Clintons. He threw every name he could under the bus hoping to deflect blame from his numerous illegal loan schemes of which various high powered Arkansas figures including the governor who followed Clinton went down. The Clintons lost around $65,000.00 on Whitewater , who is this stealing from. Hale accused Bill not Hillary Clinton of pressuring him to make a $300,000.00 loan to his friends the McDougals. No evidence of this came forth from any other source but Hale and he did not make the accusation until his 3rd time investigated 3 years after it allegedly occured. He was being investigated for looting an S&L. The SEC and FBI as well as a Republican special prosecutor and paid investigators for right wing loon Richard Mellon Scaife all looked for a tie in and none found anything, any possible Hillary involvement would have been for legal work provided by her. The final tab of Ken Starrs investigation was $60,000,000.00 tax payer dollars and extrordinary damage to the position of Special Prosecutor which like Justice had previously been seen as primarily above politics and about the law such as Jaworski and Cox.
JKHayes
Just a reminder, Obama is not the president until Jan 20, so it is insane to criticize his policy before he has even entered office. These policies that you are dissing are not even real ones yet, how can you predict what his policies will be before he assumes office? Bush had 2 very questionable "victories", one was an out and out appointment, yet the people who voted against him were expected to accept him as president. Obama won election legitimately and so he especially should be given that same courtesy. Give the man a chance, just like most of us gave Bush a chance even though a huge amount of people didn't vote for him, or vote at all. Showing respect for the president elect includes giving up this ridiculous notion that he is not an American and to stop harping on his name. He didn't select it! Also, stop calling him Nobama, that is very disrespectful and frankly immature. As for Hillary Clinton, no matter what happens, there are going to be people who are unhappy, if she gets a position or not. The Secretary of State reports to the President, the Clintons are no longer in charge. Although except for the interngate, which I think should never have been blown out of proportion the way it was (it was a private matter, which a lot of Republicans themselves have been guilty of), things were much better under Clinton. Bush messed that up too, he was given a strong economy, we were not at war, etc. But he couldn't help but mess up the country, that is what he does. People need to extend the same patience to Obama that they have to Bush, he has a big mess to straighten out. I also think that maybe Bill Clinton should be appointed to Hillary's senate seat, it would keep him busy and out of the way.
What a travesty for the United States! And, President Obama's first major boo-boo. Hillery was deeply involved with Whitewater and got out by the skin of her teeth by being first lady. Shady politics. She ran for Senator and yet wasn't a resident of that state permanently. That's whats called a carpetbagger. As first lady, she pledged to straighten out and fortify a federal funded medical coverage plan for all Americans. She failed miserably and did nothing! She bled the federal coffers of election money to run for president, rather than spend her ill gotten millions, a position she wasn't qualified for and never will be. And now, Obama completely screws up and appointes her Secretary of State. Heaven help us!!!!!
You should stop watching Fox news and listening to Rush Limbaugh.
(They are making you crazy)
so please tell us what was incorrect in don b's post...
we'll be waiting...
"Hillery (sic) was deeply involved with Whitewater and got out by the skin of her teeth by being first lady."
How many millions of dollars have investors lost by investing in the Bush families businesses?
"She ran for Senator and yet wasn't a resident of that state permanently."
She met the legal definitions of residency, just as Dick Cheney met the legal definitions of residency in the State of Texas.
"She bled the federal coffers of election money to run for president"
It's called public financing, something every viable candidate is eligible for.
IT'S LIKE SAYING TWO WRONG'S DON'T EQUAL A RIGHT.... NOW WOULDN'T IT cd....
sO hILLBAGS AND CHENEY ARE ROTTEN SLIM... Nothing changes....
President Elect Obama has spent his entire presidential campaign setting up his goals and priorities. Any comment or suggestion here, as to what he should or should not do, would simply be trying to second guess our future President, I'll pass on that, then wait to see what I may do to help his efforts once he's in office.
Tobucks, just what tv program have you been watching?? Mr. Obama spent his entire campaign telling people how everything was going to be different without telling them anything.
And we all will continue to live no matter what.
Although I ended up voting for Obama, I wanted Hillary Clinton as President. That said, the Obama supporters better take note that Obama, his wife Michelle and their children will be taking as much scrutiny as the Clintons by the right-wing crazy people. Even if they are blatant lies, there will be some people that believe those lies which is how I see the Clintons continually treated by not just the right-wing nuts but also by Obama supporters.
I will never forget how during the campaign, Bill Clinton was made out to be a racist by the Obama supporters. That really made me mad because Bill Clinton has made a career out of helping blacks. He actually has done more than Obama has for blacks. Bill Clinton is more black than Obama and grew up around them and has many good friends that are black.
When he left the Presidency where did he put his office? In Harlem. Why do you think he did that?
So please, stop all the lies about the Clintons being bad people and help our new President fix this country and make it good again.
Hillary is a good person and will do a great job.
hypocrit,
Have you read any more funny books?? Where did you get all your information?? and I know you have never met H. Clinton and don't even understand her or Bill.
It'll be interesting to see how those who slammed Hillary at the temple of their Obamessiah will react to this news. My guess is they'll be two-faced and say how great it is. I am overjoyed at the news, for no other reason than getting her out of New York. Maybe Obama could offer Schumer a janitorial position and then we'd have them both gone.
Great Day !
To all those New Yorkers who wanted the wicked witch Hil liar y out of their state.
Bad Day !
For America.
A woman that can't tell the truth and embellishes her own self-worth is offered the position of Secretary of State.
Obama is a liar and has already disgraced this nation.
The devil must be singing a happy tune at this turn of events.
God - damn Obama and the Clinton Clan.
Yes you are tired and VERY old.
Must be time to take a nap.
Tired and Old.
While I am not a fan of Obama or Clinton, and I am concerned about their values, the last thing I want is for G-d to do what you want. I want them to succeed because I am American and Obama is the President. If they screw up I will criticize them. For now I am only concerned.
Tired and Old: You are free to leave the country you want God to damn the leader of. No one is stopping you. In fact, I'd help finance your trip to elsewhere! Obama will be the next president whether you like it or not. "If you're not with us, you're against us." Remember Bush saying that? Goes right to ya! If you WANT Obama, and by extension this country, to fail, then you aren't much of an American, and I for one would not miss you if you left.
Unbelievable. Bill Clinton is a man who totally disgraced the Office of President oof The United States, repeatedly lied to Senate investigators and the American People and should have been impeached. This is someone who is "respected" by other countries?  Good Lord, what has the world come to if this is the model people look up to.
I hate to be the one to bring you the news, Harleytype, but Bill Clinton WAS impeached.
"This is someone who is "respected" by other countries?"
Yes, Bill Clinton and his wife are both respected by the leaders and governments of many countries. You don't really understand politics, do you?
So please fill us in, Con Dem. You are so quick to talk down us common folks, so enlighten us with your worldly wisdom.
And dont forget to let us know how many degrees you have from prestigious schools of higher learning, and also the fact that you converse with the most learned and diverse group of individuals on a regular basis.
(Yawn)
He was impeached by Congress, not the Senate.
Sorry, Lar, he was impeached by the House of Representatives. The Senate would be the house of Congress that does the conviction. Congress is composed of both the House of Representatives and Senate.
William Jefferson Blyth Clinton was impeached.
Yet; fellow democrats kept him in office.
Men like Senator John Glenn who betrayed his oath, for a free trip into space.
When you protect evil, you become evil.
Cons Dem.
I stand corrected. I sometimes type too quickly.
Cons Dem
You are probably correct. I don't claim to understand politics but I do think I have a clear understanding or morality and decency and Bill Clinton doesn't meet either one in my opinion. I assume you mean politics excuses the type of behavior Clinton demonstrated while in the Oval , figuratively and literally.
"So please fill us in, Con Dem. You are so quick to talk down us common folks"
That's an assumption on your part, and it's an incorrect one. I don't talk down to anyone. I'm a "common folk" myself and damned proud of it. I've never declared myself to be otherwise. If you and Harleytype can't understand why the Clintons are respected worldwide there's nothing I can do to help explain the situation. You could always go to a search box and ask the question.
"so enlighten us with your worldly wisdom."
Sorry. I can only comment on what I know and what I research. I don't make a habit of spewing innuendo and hearsay. I base my comments on research and experience, such as being heavily involved in politics as a political coordinator, an elected official and adviser to other politicians for twenty years, in addition to other public service and volunteerism for thirty years. How about you, Bob?
"And dont (sic) forget to let us know how many degrees you have from prestigious schools of higher learning"
Sorry, I don't have a single degree. My knowledge comes from the school of hard knocks. It doesn't really matter. Intelligence gained through higher learning is not the only contributor to knowledge. Intelligence is not necessarily wisdom and has nothing to do with common sense.
"and also the fact that you converse with the most learned and diverse group of individuals on a regular basis."
Sorry again. I don't converse with whichever individuals you are alluding to but I do spend as much time as possible reading about national and international affairs and events, prominent people and their accomplishments, world history/geography and various other subjects.
I'm a reader, Bob, and have been all my life. I've got about four thousand books here at home that I've read in the past 45 years. I don't read so I can impress people with the knowledge I gain. Only my immediate family is aware that I'm a reader. I do it for myself, Bob, because I have a thirst for knowledge and the only way to satisfy that thirst is through experience, reading and research. I gain absolutely nothing from it, other than knowledge.
I state my opinions in these newsgroups, mostly in replies to others. My opinions are usually given with the same attitude as the contributor I am replying to. You get what you give, Bob.
"I stand corrected. I sometimes type too quickly."
No problem, Lar. Happens to me all the time.
I admire your courage, to admit, in a public forum, that you have been in politics, for that period of time.
Most people would not have the courage to admit that, knowing that most people consider you a used car saleman, who, receives a lifetime pension, after one term
"I assume you mean politics excuses the type of behavior Clinton demonstrated while in the Oval , figuratively and literally."
No, Harleytype, politics does not excuse the behavior, any more than it excuses the behavior of John McCain and George W. Bush when they had numerous extramarital affairs during their marriages, which in my opinion is much worse than the BJ Bill Clinton received.
"Most people would not have the courage to admit that, knowing that most people consider you a used car saleman, who, receives a lifetime pension, after one term"
That's your opinion, Jerry, and you're certainly entitled to it.
Harleytype..... Now that was well put....Indeed......well respected...... I had to shake my head on that one.... But it tells you what state this country is in when people can actually say something like that..
We are truely in a world of hurt and it's going to get much worse....much worse...
I believe they have got the majority of people "eating out of their hands"
They can do no wrong....... My god.... someday, they will learn the ENTIRE story about those 2 clintons.... we are talking some of the worse type of humanity... Legacy-legacy....How about a bunch of murderers........... Oh but lets not go there......
Harleytype, Bill Clinton has not been appointed anything in this cabinet, nor will he be. Hiliary is the one that was appointed and she will do a good job, and if not she can be asked to resign. As for the morality of Bill Clinton, he did nothing more than 1 in every 5 american men, who admit to being unfaithful to their wives. What he did was between him and Hiliary, and if she can forgive that and go forward, who am I or we to judge that? The big thing in all of this, that all you rightfighters will not admit, is you lost. All this proclaimed concern about our country and etc., is a crock. Where was your concern when Bush policies and stubborn headedness, took us to the brink? I am sure the majority of you were doing the "good old boy thing" and cheering him on. And remember that Clinton and Bush Sr. have went around the world, working on causes and have both verbalized a great deal of respect for each other. Its time to move on!
Harleytype- BELIEVE ME- I've spent many years oversea's
and without a doubt Europeans loath clinton and the beast
I really get a kick out of "spam man"
he thinks if he says the same thing enough
were all going to accept Ms Rottenbotten and litle willy boy
Consider, that most any American, from the West Coast to the East and from Alaska to the Gulf of Mexico, could have not done any worst than George W. Bush has done. That being said, why is it president elect Obama is being criticized already with 50 days 16 hours and 15 minutes before he takes office.
Tobucks - Wrong! Bill Clinton did a hundred times worse than W.
Where's the list, Harleytype?
Well, maybe it's because almost half the country didn't vote for him and don't believe he's the right guy for the job. You see, you have an opinion, and you are entitled to it. I personally think that history is going to vindicate Bush on a lot of issues. You don't. One of us is wrong.
The "List"? Guess we could sart with committing adultrey while in office, REPEATEDLY lying to the congress, repeatedly lying to the American people on national TV by denying his actions IN THE OVAL OFFICE with Monica Lewinsky, just to name a few. If I am not mistaken it was Clinton who initiated legislation that basically eliminated the need for lending organizations to verify the applicants income and ability to repay their home loans therby leading to the subprime mortgage fiasco.
Ron, I'm one who disagrees with you.
Vindicate Bush? He's going to be playing cards in hell with all the others who started wars based on greed, power-lust and incompetence. That part of hell is a busy place - Bush will be in a special section - the one for those who did all this based on being too dumb to realize they were being manipulated.
Hundreds of thousands are missing limbs, their lives and much of their sanity based on his (actually Cheney's, Kristol's and the other neo-cons') selfish and pointless adventures.
Many Americans have never learned that not everyone in the world wants to be like us or live like us. Maybe we'd all be angry too if a Buddist came here and said we all had to give up our western values and give up our form of government - then blew up our buildings, allowed the pillage of our greatest cultural and historic treasures, tortured our citizens, then occupied the USA for five years at gunpoint.
I have no problem with Clinton as Secretary of State - though I would rather have seen Richardson in this role. My greatest concern is whether Obama realizes that he will have to constantly watch Bill and Hillary - as they are loyal to no one but themselves, they want power, and they have no love for Obama.
These missing limbs... are you talking 9/11
You know we had these to twin towers once apond a time, Deetoo !!
You must be three years old......
The only history that will vindicate Bush are those funded by the right such as Cato or Heritage or written by Coulter or ghost written for Hannity or O'Reilly. After the last eight years we are lucky to have a country left , he will need to be vindicated for destroying the Constitution, the Economy, US World Leadership, The Environment, The Middle Class , Damaging the Military, abandoning science and research, Pre-emptive War, Torture, disgarding the Geneva Convention, Rendition, Graft and corruption, Condoning outing a CIA agent, the death of 4,000 service men and women and 100,000 plus Iraquis and these are but a few. That's a lot of vindication. Clinton was pursued by a Javaire like GOP who could find nothing after spending tens of millions of tax dollars and all they came up with was a BJ. The rest of the world reveres Bill Clinton and can not believe we elected this bufoon twice.
JKHayes
"The "List"? Guess we could sart with committing adultrey while in office, REPEATEDLY lying to the congress, repeatedly lying to the American people on national TV by denying his actions IN THE OVAL OFFICE with Monica Lewinsky, just to name a few."
That's one, Harleytype.
"If I am not mistaken it was Clinton who initiated legislation that basically eliminated the need for lending organizations to verify the applicants income and ability to repay their home loans therby (sic) leading to the subprime (sic) mortgage fiasco."
Have you ever read the CRA? It was passed into law for one reason and that was to prevent "redlining", the cause of unmitigated blight in our inner cities. The problem needed to be addressed. It doesn't "eliminate" the need to verify the applicant's income and ability to repay the loan. It specifically advises financial institutions to verify that the applicants are capable of repaying the loan and to NOT award the financing if the applicant is not qualified for it. The financial institutions made these loans for purely greedy purposes, such as selling the mortgages to Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. The values of these properties were artificially inflated by the appraisal, housing and financial industries and resulted in the trading and selling of junk paper assets.
Don't believe everything you see in these discussion groups. Research the matter and determine if you are reading the truth or just some bull@!$%# posted by someone who doesn't have a clue.
If that is the case, WHY are YOU throwing all this BS our way...Obviously you know little about the truth....well NONE..
You need to get your head out of the sand, osterich....either that or your just a complete "line of BS"....
You cannot base anything you say on a FACT... Your babbling is laughable...
CD,
Many people hate the Clintons and that is certainly their perogative however the FACTS that they cite are generally skewed or anecdotal, the CRA passed in 1977 and has had legislative action taken on it five times. I have read it and the legislative actions and nowhere does it instruct financial institutions to make unsubstantiated mortgages. It was passed to stop racial and gender bias and to stop the practice of red lining. The act has led to the redevelopment of hundreds of urban neigborhoods with tens of thousands of new home owners. The acts during Clintons years expanded the % of loans through Fannie Mae to lower and middle income applicants and further restricted red lining it never forced anyone to offer risky financial instruments and it certainly never encouraged private institutions to borrow money based on issuing mortgages of 100% or more at variable rates, interest only , no doc or sub prime. When the world ends people will be blaming the Clintons.
The reality is that two people from low and middle income families by dint of their native intelligence , hard work and political accumen have risen to the top of the political world and many people resent them. Bill Clinton gave us eight years of fiscal sanity relative peace and an elavated position on the world stage. Mrs Clinton faced with personal and political adversity has become a respected legislator on both sides of the aisle and a role model for women around the world. Impeaching a president for lies to Congress about an extramarital affair is entirely non understandable to most of the world. The impeachment was the end result of a Republican witch hunt which spent milions of dollars and came up with nothing. I doubt if any president in modern history could have survived such an investigation with any better results.
JKHayes
I agree, Jim Hayes.
HAYES - how many years have you spent in Europe?????
Let me know- if you put more time in then me,
well maybe we have something
But I am going to say you NEVER spent EVEN 1 year oversea's
Ok.... so tell me, why you think you know europe ....
Did you say REVERE's ...Is that the word you used......
Look... your blowing hot air...
I put the time in Europe-
You could be no farther from the truth
Do me a favor- go live in Europe for 5 years...
Then tell me what they say.....dont predict what you would HOPE they would say.....
Right Winger,
I returned from France this August 15th. I was in Paris , Avignon and a small town just below Monaco. I have visited Europe at least a dozen times since graduating from Villanova in 1978. My longest stay is 8 months and I correspond with members of political parties in England, Ireland and Germany as well as with the Winter Olympic Teams of Germany and Italy(my daughter is an Olympic Hopeful in the Luge most likely in 14 not 10. My mother is first generation Irish , Second Irish French on my fathers side. I also occasionally correspond with two American Monsignors at the Vatican because of my belief that abortion has misdirected the social conscience of the church and its stated goals from Rerum Novarum through Solicitudo Rei Socialis.
Until this financial crash my wife and I were hoping to get a small place outside of Avignon , we like the area and the summer arts schedule , my wife studied French there while attending Penn. My daughter is hoping for an internship this summer either in the Bunderstag or for the German national elections with the Social Democrats before she enters college. You may have a more developed current knowledge of life politics and education in Europe but it is certainly not evident from any posts.
JKHayes
Hayes - I have put over 5 years in foreign countries... Mostly in the one time soviet block..Especially in Ukraine....
From ALL counts, Living in the city Of KHarkov the student capitol- of 1.6 M - I would be lucky to find 10 people to approved of EITHER clinton.....Ok
I was on the streets always and very much in communication with the masses there... I can speak russian.
It appears we are in communication with different countries although I have put 1 year in southern germany and another in the Netherlands.. Only 3 months in greece.. Just short stays in England which is not enough time to get a feel of the attitude of the citizens.
Now France is definetely a more liberal country and i would expect the clintons would find a few more takers there. Germany would be a bit different. Northern Germany has much more industry and cities. The southern half is the farming and smaller cities and towns...
By all accounts it seems to me where the moral fiber has eroded, mainly in the bigger industrial cities, who will have more takers of clinton. Not the same in Ukraine. Still you would be the minority and not the majority even in Germany.
You mention
"You may have a more developed current knowledge of life politics and education in Europe but it is certainly not evident from any posts."
Could it be that we disagree vehemently on this very particular subject...?
And this entire subject is basically about SOS clinton, correct?
Therefore you and me are not going to agree one bit because I loath and have extreme contempt for her and her husband.....
I had to endure constant embarrassment from these two and had to try and explain his and her ACTIONS.... which was not possible....
Ukrainians are extremely intelligent people and I hate to say intellectually as a group would blow the doors off any american student's of equal age... One thing about the former soviet Union..THEY BELIEVED IN EDUCATING THE MASSES... AND IT SHOWED..I was blown away how intelligent and striving for every bit of news I could give them from this country.... They are in tune with the world, not just their own backyard, like here...
I believe/know the moral fiber in the Ukraine is much more worthy then here.... Therefore scandal's are looked at in a much different way...
I hate to say it but alot of america has completely lost it's Moral Dignity...
That word HAYES, means more to me than any other word I know... DIGNITY.
Perhaps you might understand my complete disdain and utter contempt for these two clintons... They have 0 {ZERO} DIGNITY
Also you might see I can really lay into people, but it is only when provoked through the use of less then acceptable language.... As you notice i can give it right back...
You see, You have disagreed with me and in so many words are saying that you can see no evidence through my writting that I have any KNOWLEDGE....
It is how you put it that makes it acceptable.. Nice play on words.... This I can accept...
We obviously will never agree one this one.... Obviously we both have great passion in the matter but it is channeled opposite ways.... Peace
Ps... By the way> I am not a right winger....
Hayes... You graduated Villanova 1978 ...?????
My cousin graduated there...........1978 ! Hmmmmmm.{Big school though}
One more thing I might add. The people you deal with for the most part are political party member's.
This is quite different then me... I am dealing mostly with general public.... Perhaps this should explain it....
BARACK OBAMA !
He betrayed those who supported him.
He said he represented " C H A N G E ", He lied !
Monday !
He intends to prove his betrayal even further by endorsing the Wicked Witch Hil LIAR Y.
Barack Obama is hooked on smokes ------- G O O D !
The election is over, TIRED AND OLD.
YES ! The Election is over.
I voted for Obama and voted against the evil witch Hil liar y.
Then Obama awards the evil witch, who hoped for his assassination.
I was fooled by Obama and he is a fool for being Hil liar y Clintons house slave.
I also voted for Hillary Clinton but the Democratic voters decided otherwise. I was disappointed. However, Obama has been elected and it's time to move on. One can support him in his efforts to improve this country and fight terrorism or one can continue to insult and disparage him. The former will help us all and the latter will accomplish absolutely nothing.
I choose " INSULT and DISPARAGE ".
OBAMA picks Witch Hil liar y whom I detest.
Obama lied about a new change in government.
Democrats can stand by him -------- I won't.
"I choose " INSULT and DISPARAGE ".
That's your prerogative, TIRED AND OLD, but I'm not going to read it. Pessimism and apathy will accomplish nothing, and I choose to read posts that have some substantive meaning to them. Sadly, yours don't fit that definition. Goodbye. Please feel free to reciprocate.
I doubt anybody will bring up the fact that putting Hillary into the position of Secretary of State would be unconstitutional (refer to Article 1 Section 6).
I doubt anyone is going to bring up the fact that putting Hillary in Obama's Cabinet would be unconstitutional (refer to Article 1 Section 6).
Obamas message of change is about the direction this nation has taken under the presidency of George Bush. The Democrats have been out of office 28 of the last 40 yearas and 20 of the last 28 where do you think staff and cabinet members are going to come from. If Obama brings in left wing appointees he is a Socialist, If he brings them from Illinois he is a Chicago Machine politician. If he uses all of the choices available to him he is not for change? The change comes in a new attitude of bipartisanship competence and direction. The only Bush appointees in 2001 with any qualifications quit Paul Oneil, Christy Whitman and Colin Powell even Aschcroft couldn't take it. Chao at Labor worked for one of the most anti labor organizations in the world, The Heritage Foundation. Norton was a protege of the disgraced James Watt from Reagan days, his described Best Friend Donald Evans headed his campaign and had no government experience, Energy sported former Congressman Spencer Abrahms who in Congress called for the Departments elimination. This doesn't include his wonderful staff appointments and those of the vice president inclusive of Harriet Meyers, Karl Rove, Scooter Libby and Roberto Gonzales.
Replacing these people and lifting the constant stench of scandal which has enveloped the White House since 2001 and Florida 2000 is the change an Obama Administration will bring with it.
JKHayes
Thank you, Jim Hayes. Nice post, and true. You can now ready yourself for the onslaught of negative comments directed at your post.
No foreign dignitary would ever take hillbags serious.. She is a COMPLETE JOKE.... So we send a COMPLETE JOKE around the world.... say alot about America.... Oh here's the woman that ripped off a bunch of people... Im REALLY GOING TO TRUST HER.....!!!!!????????
America-we are going to get what we deserve..... I only feel sorry for the ones that don't want anything to do with this piece of hit....They have no choice...
The cess pool we have now was created by all these "wonderful people" .....
The only thing left that amazes me is the ignorance and stupidy of most humanity.....
How much wool do you need ...
INDEED !
Winger,
For eight years foreign nations have been mortified by the fool that is George Bush. He has embarrased us on foreign stages from Germany to China and has ignited a holy war with Islam he appointed a marginally qualified Sec of State in Dr Rice and her watch has been the least successful of any in memory, her accomplishments are almost nonexistent and her enabling of the president has left us in a worse position than we were eight years ago in every part of the World.
You are incorrect in your assessment of Mrs.Clinton , she will be universally accepted and her understanding of the Middle East is light years beyond that of Secretary Rice. Both Clintons are beloved figures in Europe and are even received with respect in the Balkans and Russia. Her husband being a former president gives her more immediate acceptance and inherited foreign policy gravitas than any Secretary in memory.
JKHayes
You have it right. She will only add to the countries in which we are already a joke now. The only thing many countries want from us is our money. That is exactly the main reason they welcome any Clinton, they are a source of free money.
Jim,
with all do respect, you could not be further from the truth...
The clintons are universally accepted as complete scam artist... Whitewater does not go away.. and that is minor compared to more devastating things ...WHICH by the way,
YOU want to talk devastation... I'll say it in 5 letters ..NAFTA - the clinton's little present- it has devastated this country like NOTHING ELSE.... This financial bank meltdown is not as big...
YOU cannot fathom the $ lost..You could take this current war and multiple it by 10 and still not close to the damage that NAFTA -Bills little brainstorm...
The clintons are some of the worse things that EVER happened to this country...
But the larger part is so lost and gullible... It will take centuries for the wool to be pulled from the eyes....
Winger, your name is certainly fitting. You're a die hard right-winger if I ever saw one.
I think the term COMPLETE JOKE has been saved for exclusive use for George W. Bush.
BOY CD .... I guess I got you ALL FOOLED....
But you sure do not want to talk about NAFTA now...... Do you????
No, there is PLENTY OF ROOM...
The majority of all Polticians are "COMPLETE JOKES"
"But you sure do not want to talk about NAFTA now...... Do you????"
I'll talk about NAFTA, which originated with George H.W. Bush. NAFTA is wrong. Clinton should have abandoned it and told George H.W. Bush and the Republicans to shove it. The United States needs to walk away from it. It's done nothing but eliminate American jobs and gives advantages to Mexico and Canada.
Same thing I've said about NAFTA all along.
Oh BUT clinton was THEE Master pusher....... He got everyone together and PUSHED like no tommorrow.....
We already know why? Do you? Of course not!!!!!
You dont even have a clue why clinton pushed sooooooooooooooo hard for NAFTA. MR NAFTA spokesperson...
While Ross pleaded with us.... NO ! spending millons of his own... Now thats a REAL AMERICAN!
Obviously, with your head under sand for soooooo long.... you have developed a brain defect. No Oxygen to the brain... But your "knowledge" pretty much dictated that.....
NAFTA was a done deal, andleft to Clinton to sign, Pappa Bush is to blame for NAFTA.
Wrong again DAISY.... cLINTON INSPIRED IT, HE TWISTED EVERYONE FOR IT....
Without his "personal drive" NAFTA NEVER HAPPENS.......
Real done deal when you had Ross Perot fighting it tooth and nail with his own money.... Yeah...Real done deal......
Winger: You fail to place ANY blame for NAFTA on the REPUBLICAN Congress who WROTE AND PASSED this piece of trash bill. Clinton signed it into law when he should have vetoed.
Bichelle- Your a DA and have no hope.
You are useless piece of trash that thinks it can twist things any way you want and everybody else will shut up like your piece of trash clinton low lifes....
You think you can out do with VOLUMES of BA and everyone else is going to back down...It's called power Politic's... Guess what...F you... I dam well know your type little girl... go home the sharks are out and you will be eaten.... Intellectual genius that you are!
Personal attacks are against the CoH Winger. Stop with the personal attacks and name calling.
Twice now Fireyone, I have asked you to either put something of substance up or shut up!
Im not going to sit here and let you dictate to me
YOU got that STRAIGHT !
The first president bush ended the war in Iraq too soon; he should have listened to his general.
Sodomy Sam got bad again ; because, the job was not finished.
The second bush decided to take action to put the big mouth dictator out of action for good.
Sodomy Sam found in a hole in the ground is gone for good.
The second bush lied about WMD.
Sodomy Sam would still be mouthing off if Al Gore made it to oval office.
And 4000 plus AMericans would still be alive today!
How about those 5000 in the twin towers ...? Would they be saved??????? Would they be alive....
Hey Daisy, did you ever hear of these two twin towers????
Once apond a time there was these two twin towers..... Are you with me so far Daisy?
Oh Im sorry...that was a little bite over your head......
Winger,

JKHayes
Ok where to start? Lets start with this holy war that you claim President Bush started.. Well I hate to break it to you but do you remember a thing called The Crusades? I Think they were a holy war.. Better go see Kindom of Heaven you might get a history lesson. Have you been to a foreign country recently.. The politicans may not like The US but the regular Joes do.. Hell even in Afghanistan they want to have what America has.. So I dont know who would be laughing at us when they cant defend themselves without our help.. Ms Rice has tried to get alot done but muslims have blocked most of the things she has tried to do.. But lets let ms clinton in there and see what a fiasco she can make of it.. Probably not more of one than Nancy going and kissing asads ass..
Joe,
I don't get history from movies they are not real, I read and travel research and occasionally write. The Crusades in general were as much of a failure as the current Administration. The first crusade retook Jerusalem after that it was downhill including the fourth which sacked Byzantium. Those who prospered the most were the Italian merchants and shippers and petty nobility who established small kingdoms. The muslim fear and distrust of Christianity in general has a lot to do with the bloody history of the crusades on both sides.
JKHayes
Do you remember 9/11? or do you think that was an American hoax too? Bush didn't start a holy war, Osama Bin ladin did. America was doing pretty good 4 years ago, before the Democrats took control of Congress...then all the problems started. Housing market problems, thank Bill Clinton for that one. His legislation made it so banks had to loan money to people that couldn't afford the payments so that everyone could get a house. People without houses don't have them for a reason, they can't afford it. Now Obama wants to send diplomats to deal with the terrorists instead of troops. Trying to negotiate with people who think "Join Islam or die" and hate America because of our freedom is not going to work, its just going to get a bunch of diplomats killed!!!
Despite what you have been told by Bush and his war-mongering buddies, Islam does NOT hate Americans for our freedoms. They hate us for our foreign policy and our hypocracy. We play nice with some pretty nasty people all in the name of cheap oil. These nasty regimes, who SAY they are pro-Western but so rarely really are, are usually pretty harsh against Islamic persons. For no reason other than they are Islamic. They hate us because we keep invading their countries for their oil. They hate us because we say one thing, then turn around and do exactly the opposite. They hate us because we turn our backs on agreements with them after we get what we want (see info on the Iraq-Iran war and Reagan's part in that). And they hate us because we are infadels on their holy land. Not good reasons to hate, but then, not really any reason to trust us, is there? America is a great country, but I am not so spell bound by our country's greatness that I fail to see and admit that we could do better. We could BE better.
Rigy,
Islam is a religion Iraq is a country and before we invaded was the only entirely secular government in the mideast. We put the fundamentalists in charge. No Iraqis were involved in 9/11 there was no Al Quedda in Iraq Saddam hated Shia fundamentalists more than he hated us hence his war with Iran. Bush started a Holy War a tiny group of religious fanatics attacked NY and in turn Bush declared war on an idea which is no where covered in the Constitution, declaring war on Terror is akin to a War on Drugs or a War on Crime they are endless and unwinnable unless you are willing to accept a Totalitarian State with all energies directed to solving the problem.
JKHayes
This is way to dramatic now I voted for the guy but enough is enough, this isn't pop culture, the guy was voted in as president not american Idol and Clinton is wait and see too much drama.
All obama is, is a rock star.. He has no experience in anything.. His wife hates whites, and is not proud of her country..
If this reply weren't so stupid, it would be hilarious!!!!
Well, I sure wish I had something positive here....
But to believe THIS coming Government REALLY wants to hELP the American People..
It would make me just as Gullible as the half billion that Blindly go along..
Someone has to be the no good growling watchdog!
Just cant stand how swallowed up these politicians have the Public....
Good on you Winger, It seems apparent, at this point, that professional politicians, have one, over riding concern.
That is, to be relected.
It seems to me, that a start, would be a constitutional amendment, that specifies, no one person, may be elected, to any offfice, for more than one term.
Salary, to be $50,000 per annum, indexed to inflation.
All legislators, to be enrolled, into the Social Security System.
I can hear it now, " But we won't be able to attract qualified people"
probably not, but what do we have now?
"Someone has to be the no good growling watchdog!"
Watchdog? What a joke. You're a right-wing lapdog and it's people like you that caused the Republican losses this year and in 2006. Keep it up and you'll cause more losses in 2010.
cd=your an IDIOT with NO SUBSTANCE.. You say NOTHING- I give you Substance, you give me BABBLE
You dumb @ss. I am not a REPUBLICAN and I could less about 2012... We will no longer be a country by then...
You just go ahead and fight your little R and D game.... It is pointless to talk with a Lemming like you.
It's all R and D with you.... It is pointless to even try to explain ANYTHING to you.. Because you are fixated on your "PARTY"
It is people like you WHY there will be no USA in the future.........
So go head and play your silly dumb @ss games...
One question.....Do you know what a Amero is.... Thats what I thought...
Ok, stick our head back under the sand...WHATS THAT ..OH..You never took your head out of the sand.... Right ! It Appears so !
Man JERRY... You are sooooooooooooooooo right!!!!
We were talking about what could be done to clean this mess up!
We came up with a 2 term..... But I like yours better..
Lets face it, once they are in.... It's no longer what's good for MY state...But whats good for me....
This is where all the corruption starts....If you got them out of there 1 term.... they cannot set up their little "packs' and attack one another... {you vote for my ----- and I will vote for your-------.
In a nutshell, anyone in office over a term is going to view his own future over the states.... IT"S ALL ABOUT BEING ELECTED...
Get them out of congress... 40-50 years... My god, thats a surefire recipe for disaster...
GET THEM OUT ! 1 term ....SEEYA !
I dont care about attracting... what are we attracting now...... It's brutal....
You got crusted guys in congress that are 90 years old and dont even do anything anymore... you got guys that dont even show up for the most part....
This Has all got to end...... We figure ,,,What you just mentioned, is the BEST THING THAT COULD EVER HAPPEN..
The only other thought was having a "NO Party" system.... bUT HOW TO PULL THAT OFF... I really have no clue... other then break the party system and restore the servicing of this country USA instead the servicing of all these FAT CATS...
Does anyone wonder why all these politicians are FILTHY RICH......?
"You got crusted guys in congress that are 90 years old and dont even do anything anymore... you got guys that dont even show up for the most part...."
Well, those old codgers did become very lively when it came to voting an automatic pay raise to be given every year for themselves & all members of Congress, a few years ago (another raise automatically every year, unless they specially vote to deny themselves a raise for one year). Isn't that how to get them interested in getting something done - put more money in their pockets? Lobbyists seem to have learned that.
Did you notice how many thousands of dollars this raise came to this year for the lowest-paid Congressman? I admit, the total came to only a few million dollars (only $4100.00 for each of the lowest-paid ppl, who are going to have to scramble to live on a paltry almost $170,000...) Congress took the raise why? It certainly was not for a job well-done, nor even half-done. Nope, it was simply because they could get away with it & I guess they thought we owed it to them for doing such a fantastic job. Or for at least showing up a few days during some weeks.
They are expecting another raise soon.
And I am sure they are grateful for getting a large raise, without having to even show up for work for the most part. Wonder if any of them could handle a full time job. Wonder if many could work at all. Too many are used to sitting & getting paid full-time wages for part-time work - if you could call part-time work as simply voting 'present' on issues.
Yep, those politicians are FILTHY RICH.
The longer they stay in politics, the filthier they get. And the richer they become.
I hate our party system. The only ones doing any partying are the politicians & their buddies - on my dime.
Corie- Well spoken and right on!
How do we stop this mess?
You are showing just another side of our precious Government
that is totally SELF SERVING without the slightest concern for the public.
This is not going to be a popular opinion, but I really think it is the best one.
Tear it all down & start over.
We need another rebellion, as Thomas Jefferson so aptly mentioned:
"God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion.
The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is
wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts
they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions,
it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. ...
And what country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not
warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of
resistance? Let them take arms...The tree of liberty must be refreshed from
time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
It is its natural manure."
Notice he did not say 'should', he said 'MUST'. He would never have stood for a bunch of politicians stealing money from the American people to give to their friends in 'big business' in the form of pork or bailouts.
He is not the only one of his circle to note that politicians become corrupt, simply from having power that an office brings. And he noted that the more time spent in public office, the more power that one gains - thereby increasing the corruptness. It was often mentioned that he and others hoped Americans would occasionally do their duty by overthrowing those corrupt people and the associated offices/government in which they rule.
Our founding fathers were not stupid, they just did not think we would actually stand for career politicians running our country. When did we decide not to "preserve the spirit of resistance?"
I've voted every election year since 1968, and have been increasingly saddened by the lack of people on each ballot that I think would be good for my country.
BTW, the last time I had hope for this country was when I campaigned for Ross Pierot. Obviously my opinions are not shared by the majority...lol.
You know Corie, Ross was the last decent guy to run for president...
I willask you this..... had Ross been in there - Do you think we would have been in this position???
I say hooch in a handbasket we would have... They would have had to tie him down because he would have been on top of this and NEVER allowed this to happen
Part of the Huge problem is we have all these "lOvely lawyers" in political positions... Probably the worse thing that could ever happen....
When we really need REAL BUSINESS MEN....
The founding fathers would have been rolling over in their grave if they could watch what has happened the last 50 plus years...
I think we think similar... I have had absolutely no hope since Carter... The Clintons forever ruined my trust in Politicians and the Bushes just continued the downward trend though nothing could ever get lower then the clintons... that is impossible...
I just want to say that Ross is a decent respectble man, but I knew that he really did not have a chance....Although that still was my choice... I will never go R or D...Actuallly wish I could hide that...most think I just hate Demo's but their just the subject at hand now.....and a TERRIBLE subject at that!
I voted for Jimmy Carter. He was a nice man, but a wishy washy president (in my opinion).
If Ross had won, we'd not have this crappy situation. He had good business savvy. He knew how to fix business problems & would have used that knowledge to fix our government problems. He was not after power nor glory, but simply wanted to fix our problems. Remember the charts he used to show us? He showed us how he was going to change things, unlike other politicians who get elected by sputtering meaningless comments about them wanting to change stuff. That's what they basically do, too - sputter, 'I promise to change this...and that...and (whatever other word their teleprompter flashes at them).' Then, after being elected, they fall back on, "I wanted to change it, but I didn't know there would be complications. Perhaps we can find a solution in a few years, or at least appoint a committee in a few years."
Ross showed us what he was going to fix, and how he would do it. How refreshing it would have been to have a real businessman at the helm, instead of a member of the group that includes Clintons and Bushes.
I, too, hope that I never go R or D. I don't like either main party. Some would call me anti-political.
However, I have been told I occasionally say, "free the Chicago 7" in my sleep.
That was well said. Corie
Were not Anti's but we do not allow the sublime method's to sway our opinions. GIVE ME SUBSTANCE!
Unfortunately the very best qualified never sniff the presidency because you pretty much have to be a gutter snake in this business to get to the top... {which makes me wonder how in the world did Carter EVER make it to the top} that was incredible...
Therefore all the "lawyers" because they can deceive the masses with "garbled nothing talk", Deception is their game... Thus Politic's ends up to be a never ending back stabbing game of lie's and theatric's... all pointed to Woo the masses...
Then you bring in the best thing that could EVER happen... A true winner- The Rarest successful Buisness man.. Now you know this man has his heart into it- He has the $ already and just wanted to see the country heading the right way...
Unfortunately American's in general are "main street runners" to caught up in the glitter glamour who can dazzle me with nothing .. Rather then good sensible business philosophy... THAT'S JUST TO BORING !!!!
Well guess what....WE LOSE ! I can't IMAGINE WHAT ROSS IS THINKING NOW......WAH !
Sad part is most Americans still don't realize they BLEW IT BIGTIME........
